How to apply for change of motor vehicle particulars

Section 6(7) of the Traffic Act provides that where the registered particulars of any vehicle change, including the engine no. chassis no. or colour, the owner of the vehicle shall inform the National Transport and Safety Authority for amendment.

Process for change of motor vehicle engine

  • Log in to NTSA TIMS
  • Select vehicle inspection
  • Select create new booking to change particulars and pay required fee
  • Once the Inspection report is uploaded, apply for change of particulars
  • Select vehicle registration then select change of particulars and fill in the required details
  • Pay the required fee
  • Visit NTSA office for issuance of new log book

Documents required

  1. Original Logbook
  2. Vehicle inspection report
  3. Affidavit of change of motor vehicle engine
  4. Copy of ID/ Certificate of incorporation /Business Registration Certificate
